You have the expertise, the story, or the system worth putting into a book. What you probably don’t have is the time or the experience, or the patience to turn that into a book that holds together and reads well. At the very least, your time may simply be too valuable. That's my job. I help write the manuscript. You’re the author.

How to Choose Wisely

AI can produce pages quickly, but those pages read like AI. It can't interview you, challenge a weak argument, or build a structure that keeps a reader turning pages. It is fast, but often it is junk.

Low-cost offshore ghostwriting services are built on volume, not partnership. You typically get generic, templated prose from someone with no background in your as an author, no stake in whether your book actually works, and from someone whose first language is probably not American English.

On the other hand, writing the book alone, without professional guidance, usually ends one of two ways: the project stalls after a few chapters, or it turns out to be unpublishable, with no objective structure, pacing, or market fit along the way. At the very least, your time is too valuable to waste learning to be an author.

Why It Matters That a Major Publisher Hired Me First

Anyone can call themselves a ghostwriter. There's no license, no exam, no governing body — just a website and a rate.

The best ghosts were working authors first. What does that mean? Before I took on a single ghostwriting client, I was hired and published by a major international publishing house, by people who are the most qualified vet writers who can actually deliver a finished, sellable book.

Self-publishing is a legitimate way to build a name and sell books. But when you're hiring someone to write your book for you, no self-published track record screens for talent the way a major publisher's editorial process does. You own the manuscript. I write it or help you write it, you hold the copyright, and your name goes on the cover. My involvement stays as confidential as you wish — that's standard practice in ghostwriting, and the arrangement publishers and agents I've worked with expect.

I authored a successful book for one of the world's largest publishers. You have likely seen me on TV in connection with this book. I also have ghostwritten dozens of books on myriad subjects.  I have a background in finance, marketing, and other areas. You will not find pics of me here, posing and grinning. Your book is not about me.

    Initial Interview Call: You learn relevant background and credentials, we find out if we're a good fit, and you receive references, samples of past work, and a sample agreement. If we move forward, your Book Account gets set up.

    You Send Your Materials: Notes, outlines, research, prior drafts — anything relevant to the book is sent over for review before we start shaping it.

    Two Calls a Week: This is where the real work happens: getting to know you and the book concept, walking you through how writing and publishing actually work, and brainstorming content, theme, length, and title. The goal throughout is a book that's both memorable and marketable.

    Research: The general research the book requires gets handled as part of the process. Good nonfiction cites its sources openly — it builds trust with readers rather than costing it.

    Outline and Overview: You receive a detailed outline, synopsis, back cover copy, and, where it applies, guidance on self-publishing or approaching agents and traditional publishers.

    First Two Chapters: You see two complete chapters before we go further, so you can evaluate voice and direction early.

    Complete Draft: You receive the full first draft of the manuscript.

    Revisions: Revision matters as much as everything before it. Every draft goes through the Excelsior Ghostwriting Comprehensive Revision and Quality Control Process before it comes back to you.

    Final Draft: You receive a complete final draft for approval.

    Proofreading and File Prep: The manuscript is proofread and delivered in final file format, ready for submission or publication.
